The Skinny Margarita

My sister shared her new favorite cocktail with us over the weekend, she not only shared she made PITCHERS of this “nectar of the Gods’.  Leslie is very disciplined when it comes to moderating her sugar intake (doctors orders) … so when summer rolls around she modifies the standard super sugary margarita into a low calorie TASTY pool bevvy you know as the Skinny Margarita. They are really refreshing.

The Skinny Margarita

Viola and PS a splash of Cointreau (orange flavored liqueur) wouldn’t hurt either

Do I need to take a picture of my fav summer cocktail? I’ve got one you’ll love and you make by the pitcherful…an easy breezy mojito (but I use vodka cause I’m not much of a rum drinker), but either way. Let me know if I have to take pics, cause then I have an excuse to make a pitcherful.

Heck ya – take a snap with your phone — I’m tired of looking at my pics!! I have a list of Peggy favs… I can put this one at the top! LOL

Oh and I made another one last night, but I don’t think you need pics for it:

Ingredients: Blueberry Vodka, Lemonade, Fresh Blueberry’s, 1/4 tsp extra fine sugar. In a tall mojito glass, muddle six or so really juicy blueberry’s with sugar, top with ice. In shaker filled with ice, mix two parts lemonade with 1 part vodka (or more…we did) and shake, strain and pour over ice. Garnish with a mint leaf and try really hard not to drink too many. Good luck with that..we drank it like lemonade. It was so summery and smelled like heaven and tasted even better!

Hey Linz!! Thanks for the nice little blurb about me….I think…:) I had one (or two) of my concoctions tonight!!!
Hopefully Ojai will make them as good as I do!! Have a great weekend. Good luck with Ly-Ly.

Of course its GOOD!! I think your discipline is to be commended — I wish I had half of what you display. I enjoyed your skinnies during the NBA playoffs this week – took the edge off the nail biting games!

Great photo of Leslie! Two of my girlfriends pay for an empty Venti cup at Starbuck’s. Fill them will their beverage of choice and walk to the Circle for a Mani-Pedi. By the way, their choice of bevy is not coffee (unless it had some Bailey’s in it). Such smarty pants.
Can’t wait to enjoy one of these this summer!

I just bought one of those reusable Venti cups before they were gone again and selling for $80 on eBay!
