I crave organization.
But lately I have become buried in a pile of receipts, mail, report cards, magazines, catalogs you name it I have it stacked everywhere (my friends will vouch for me on this one.) In an effort to dig myself out I am going to start another blog that is only focused on organization (check back in April). I have so many resources you are going to love and I can’t wait to get MYSELF organized in the process.
I recently purchased a new Mail Organizer online that has changed the way I now handle my mail. Its sits in my laundry room because this is usually where I enter the house arms full of bills, catalogs and magazines. (*Tip* place a trash can in your garage and as soon as you grab your mail, pull out all the junk and toss it BEFORE you set foot in your home helping you eliminate that growing stack on the counter. Take this one step further and place a bin next to your trash for items to be shred versus thrown away i.e. credit cards offers.)
Meet my new BFF Mail.sorter by get buttoned up. Take a moment and go visit their site, you will find a ton of great products as well as daily organization tips. Its a great resource on getting AND staying organized. I like the back story of how this company was created by 3 sisters and a best friend out a necessity to get a handle on life’s messiness. I can relate.
The sorter has generous sections so you can divide lots of mail. I love the front pocket that says NOTICE ME, this is where I put the stuff that really needs to be addressed soon (<–hey my first pun! Yea! love those.. get used to them around here.) You can find the sorter on the get buttoned up website although I purchased mine at Spoon Sisters because a) I was ordering other items from their site and they were offering a coupon and b) their site ROCKS for finding the coolest gifts! The last I checked you can enter in the CODE: SHOP and save $5 on any online order over $50 (expires 4/30/10). Note: I noticed the organizer was $1 more on Spoon Sisters site, but if you use the coupon you are saving a few more dollars.
I also ordered the on-the-go receipt catcher to get a handle on my exploding wallet. It’s great and I love the elastic band that keeps it bundled nicely.
disclaimer: I was not compensated in anyway for these items by the companies mentioned above. Anything I publish about a product is my own personal experience and opinion about the item.
Hey nice work!
I wish you much success and loads of good fun in the launch of Modchik (I accidently Googled “Modchick” and TOTALLY got lost..much like I always do in life these days)
Any-who…I still haven’t gotten my website/blog site up for Hatha Ever After as I am still fighting with GoDaddy.com over the domain ownership that I bought…etc., ad nauseum….so your blog for MC totally inspires me to get going and DO IT! XOXO
