Tis the season to start thinking about holiday menus and stocking up in preparations for the massive amount of flour and butter I am going to need in order to finish all my holiday baking. I have a new cookbook to add to my library this season, Macy’s Thanksgiving & Holiday Cookbook. The beautifully photographed cookbook features over 80 recipes from Macy’s Culinary Council including Rick Bayless, Cat Cora, Emeril Lagasse, Nancy Silverton, Wolfgang Puck and Marcus Samuelsson. The book starts out with a brief introduction to the council and includes a brief history about the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade and includes menu suggestions from superstar chefs including Marc Forgione, Michelle Bernstein and Takashi Yagihashi.
I was given the cookbook by my friends at Everywhere Society with a list of recipes to choose from but I pleaded we add one more to the list to include Chef’s Mix. <– click for recipe. This upscale take on the traditional Chex Mix will delight your palette with its super crunchy Marcona almonds and savory Worcestershire laced corn snacks. Let me tell you, I had a hard time letting it cool down before I devoured half a pan.
For the final day of our 12 Days of Giveaways we are please to give one lucky reader a copy of Macy’s Thanksgiving & Holiday Cookbook. Just to sweeten the deal and if you are going to make the Chef’s Mix then you are going to want to have these, we are also giving away a pair of Chicago Metallic Pro Grade Jelly Roll Pans. These are my absolute favorite pans.
The winner will also receive a pair of handmade pot holders from the Heart of Haiti project. Heart of Haiti, a collection of handmade pieces available on macys’com as well as some select Macy’s stores that help Haitians who are still recovering from the devastating earthquakes in 2010. Each piece you purchase helps bring money back to a country that is in economic crisis and very limited resources.

Don’t know if I have one favorite holiday dish – I like all the treats & goodies, but if I had to pick one, orange cream fudge is a favorite!
I can think of so many people this would make the PERFECT gift for. I MUST have it! 🙂 P
PS – My FAVORITE holiday dish is a corn souffle. Mom make it with con muffin mix, canned corn, creamed corn, butter, cheese, sour cream, s&p, onion and LOVE. Plus, if you eat it in the dark, it’s calorie free!!
oh lord that chef’s mix sounds good. i’d make it without the nuts so the kids can eat it — unless…

What an awesome giveaway for an avid cook! Love this.
Ahh, didn’t realize I had to say my favourite holiday dish. Probably butternut squash lasagna. It’s a great Thanksgiving side dish.
I would say that my favorite dish would be anything that had eggnog in it. Plain beverage of eggnog or the eggnog cheesecake bars or eggnog bread. But a dish I would have to say it would be the roast beef that we have at dinner.
I think this is one of the best giveaways this season! I would love this and would love to give it!!
This will be odd, but.. I adore traditional Lithuanian Christmas eve cookies with poppy seeds and poppy seed milk. Le me tell you, the sleep during that night is SO good 🙂
I love anything pumpkin!
Thank you for the opportunity! I would LOVE to win! These are useful items which will be used! (By whoever wins – hopefully me 😉 )
Oops – forgot to give you my favorite holiday dish – it’s actually cheesy potatoes (like grautin) – simple, but YUMMY!!
