Olympus Pen Ready Project

12.20.11 By Lindsey G 4 Comments

I love the idea of ditching my big camera for something small and compact. Something that fits in the palm of your hand with removable lenses. I saw a couple new Olympus PEN cameras floating around camp a few months ago, they looked like a great little cameras and I overheard they shoot HD video as well.ities. Olympus put 1000 cameras into the hands of 1000 people for the Pen Ready Project including the hands of shutter sisters, Kristin-mainemomma and Tammy Lee-Bradley.

I love that the camera has six built-in Art Filters, Pin Hole, Grainy Film, Pop Art, Soft Focus, Dramatic Tone and Diorama. Editing while you shoot! Brilliant. The camera also features a Direct HD Movie Button to record up to 29 minutes of HD video and stereo sound.

There are some amazing images coming out of these cameras, just check out the featured gallery or follow GetOlympus on instagram. To learn more about the project watch the video below or visit Penready.com.

I would love a Pen. I’m secretly hoping Santa brings me one for Christmas…

Sounds like it’s an amazing camera! I would love Santa to give me a camera, or that I can afford a new one — doesn’t matter what brand or kind it is — using a very very very old one here. LOL

I have to say buying refurbished is not a bad way to go – I have had good luck on ebay crafty.
