Who or what inspired you?
Inspiration is all around me. This will be more of a visual post, a departure from the reverb writing because I am definitely a visual person.
So where do I go for inspiration?
Pinterest – this is a tough call as a photographer, in the community there is a bit of debate about “re-pinning” photos, same goes with Tumblr, I’ll get to that one as well. Every now and then I will see a photo from here get re-pinned and honesty I’m flattered, I guess they are stripping it from your site and publishing it on another platform but if the artist is credited clearly I’m good.
I love Simplified Bee’s pins, she is one of the first home decor blogs I fell in love with check out her Pinterest boards – WHOA she has been a busy bee. I could stay there all day so be warned Pinterest is a long deep rabbit hole. Here pins on Home Organization inspire me to gut, clean and purge everything!
Then there are the Flickr Groups, too many to even begin to try and list. If you are looking for something in a specific genre or subject you can always search the entire submissions and find something. I love the Jumping Project, Bench Monday and of course the favored Mortal Muses Everyday Beauty and Shutter Sisters.

Tumblr is a … (wait I actually had to Google What is tumblr.) Wiki says: Tumblr is a blogging platform that allows users to post text, images, videos, links, quotes and audio to their tumblelog, a short-form. Its fast its quick and people (similar to Pinterest) can re-tumble posts, there’s where the problem lies (republishing others work without credit). I’m finding a lot of companies use Tumblr for their blogs, PhotoJojo, Instagram, Hipstamatic and there are some crazy creative blogs eat sleep draw, one of the MOST followed Tumblr SOUP I liked this screen shot of Alec Baldwin and American Airlines in a tweet smack down if you will.
For those of you who LOVE design – follow this guy… Jeff Rubio of Pratt
I follow Instagram super user… Josh Johnson.
Instagram oh Instagram what can I say? I am on that app every day. I follow almost 400 of you and your photos. Those photos give me ideas and help me expand on my own. I have to say all my iPhone apps are another source of inspiration, they keep me on my creative toes. If you are new to my site you can check out InstaFriday where I recap what’s been shared if you don’t have an iPhone and haven’t join the IG community. sidenote: I read that Instagram hired Android App developers this week.
Of course there are the blogs I follow in my RSS Reader. You can visit my BlogRoll for the list. I admit I don’t read as many as I used to, that’s one casualty from going to reader to publisher of blogs. I am going to sit down over the holiday and clean out my list of blogs I subscribe to, kind of like cleaning out your closet if you haven’t read it in six months chances are you don’t need to subscribe to it anymore either.
It’s all about simplifying in 2012.
Reverbing? don’t by shy link up ;D
