If you have read about this latest Mercury Retrograde then you know right now it is better to revisit, revise or reassess rather than start new things. In the all of that is welcomed during the period in which the planet Mercury crosses our skies appearing to spin backwards. If you want to dive a little deeper you can look at the relationship between mercurial forces and the properties of the transiting astrological sign, in this case Capricorn (think careers, goal and your ideas of what success would look like). I like this article for more detail >> Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn. Those in the field will warn of complications when it comes to communication, technology and all things metal including cars.
I am always using extra caution during retrogrades, case in point last week, the wet hornet who would be my 18 yr. old after grazing the stucco entrance of the garage with his side mirror. Ouch. Although he doesn’t buy into that sort of thing and neither does this guy >> no mercury retrograde is not making your life worse.
As for me I buy in, I buy it all and buy it in bulk. Astrology (to me) is like a guidepost from Universe, plus my natal chart would suggest that anyway. With Mercury in retrograde for now, grab a book, reflect and relax until the 25th (when it ends) or just continue to go about your life.
Here’s what I was doing last week while everyone else was freaking out (or not) about the impending retrograde.
New Years day I baked the last tray from our Christmas morning morning buns. 359 days and counting until we meet again.
My new tax and receipt box (Container Store)
El Nino is finally here and it dumped. So much so my son’s room flooded and ruined three wood planks. PSA – KEEP YOUR RAIN GUTTERS CLEAN and tennis ball free.
She took her new LL Bean wellies for a spin. I think the last time we bought rain boots was 2008.
I’m reading Secret Language of Color so spotting a prism in the wild got me like
I trotted out my Instax Wide because Winter brings the best pink clouds.
From my last post Yes Girl.
Don’t know if I took any photos with my big camera last week, I guess I should have a look. Been thinking about how I can organize all the photos on my hard drive and maybe start moving some into long term storage. My phone has just over 12,000 photos squatting on valuable memory so I need to deal with that too. Monday is back to work and Super B heads back to college after winter break but stick around and you just may see a reappearance of him next week. Yes things got complicated this winter break.
So just to be clear I’m not starting any new projects (although this post would appear to be so) let’s just say I’m revisiting the idea.
Here’s some stuff I bookmarked
